Postcron now lets you Schedule Posts on Google+ Pages

Por postcron_blog_en |

Today I’m really happy to announce that from now on, Postcron lets you schedule posts on Google+. This was the feature most requested by our users for over a year. Why? Because everything you post on G+ is automatically indexed by Google and that means, it strengthens the positioning of your site in search results.

In this post, I’ll show you how you can start scheduling your posts on G+ with Postcron today. But before that, let me tell you briefly why you should use Google+ for your business. It’s really important to know!

Why you should start using Google+ for your business right now

1. Everything you post on Google+ is automatically indexed in Google, which positively impacts search results for your site.

When a user searches for something on Google, the first result on the list gets 54% of the clicks. Google+ positively affects the positioning of your site because it increases the chances of being at the top. Basically, Google+ = More-Free-Traffic!

2. With 1 billion registered users, Google+ is considered today as the world’s second largest social network after Facebook. Google. Does. Not. Stop: it’s growing at an incredible rate of 33% per year.

3. Unlike Facebook, Google+ is a place for openly sharing your interests and connecting with people, influencers, and relevant brands. Above all, it’s a space for sharing and recommending information.

4. As you probably already know, Google is the most used search engine in the world and its refined algorithm provides extremely accurate results. However, the +1 button (the equivalent to “Like” on Facebook) is the component that was missing, because it adds the social element to the optimization of search results. A +1 is a human recommendation that Google will take into account when evaluating the site. According to Hubspot, after analyzing more than 5,000 webpages, the sites that use the “+1” button get 3.5x more visits on Google+.

5. The creation of G+ allows Google to provide personalized search results that are more relevant to the user. Again, the social element adds a little something extra to searches, which improves the quality of the outcome.

Basically, if you use Google+, it’ll improve the ranking of your site and brand on the Internet. Google+ is Google’s social network, and today, this giant is the gateway to the Internet.

You feel like posting something on Google+ now, right? Awesome! I’m going to explain how you can do it using Postcron without wasting one extra second.

4. To post, start typing where it says “Share status” and then select the Google+, Twitter and Facebook accounts where you want to publish. To confirm, press the “Schedule” button and specify the date and time of post. That’s it!

TIPS:

  • Google+ lets you put words in “bold” if you surround them with this symbol: *. For example, *Happiness* will show up as Happiness.

  • The best times to post content on Google+ is between 9am and 11am. The worst times are between 6pm and 7am.

Plus! How to create a list of posts to be published on G+ directly from Google Docs

If you work in a Social Media or Advertising agency, then you’re probably used to spreadsheets: social media calendars, content calendars, checklists, etc.. Spreadsheets are practical and that’s why, here at Postcron, we also provide you with the ability to upload a spreadsheet with a calendar of Social Media posts. You can use Google Docs or Microsoft Excel to perform this task.
This feature is also widely used by blog-owners and sites that publish lots of content. When you publish more than 6 posts a day on multiple social networks, and you’re already creating your weekly calendar, it’s easier to put together a spreadsheet with all the posts that you’re going to publish and then upload it to Postcron all at once, rather than uploading each one individually.

In this 3 minute video, I’ll show how to create a spreadsheet of posts and upload it to Postcron to later be published on Google+, Facebook and/or Twitter. To make it easier, I’ll use simple messages and the link to this post.

The most important thing to know when putting together your spreadsheet for Postcron, is that the data must be in this order: Message, Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Link to an image, Link to an article or site.
Using spreadsheets instead of individually scheduling each post can save you several hours per client or per blog a week. I definitely recommend using it!

Positioning your brand on Google+ will positively impact search results, besides allowing you to connect with influencers and and audiences focused on finding specialized information.

From now on, you can use your Postcron account to manage your Google+ pages (in addition to Facebook pages, Facebook groups, Instagram and Twitter accounts).

If you like this new change, share it on your social networks which will help us add more features faster, your “+1” helps us a lot! 🙂 More news coming soon!
