Twitter, the micro blogging Social Network that has more than 400 million users<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0worldwide has announced the recent addition of a new change on Twitter<\/strong>: the \u201cMoments\u201d tab<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

By using this function, people will be able to find out which conversations are the most relevant on Twitter<\/strong>. The objective of this addition is to help users find the most important events on the Network in real time. <\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This was explained by Madhu Muthukumar<\/em>, project leader, who also said that the objective of Moments<\/strong> is to help users understand<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>how to use Twitter<\/a><\/em><\/strong> quickly without understanding how hashtags, re-tweets and other functions <\/em><\/strong>on this Social Network work.<\/p>\n

This means that the Moments tab<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0will work similarly to Facebook\u00b4s Personalized Relevant Algorithm<\/strong>, since users will be able to see a selection of the \u201cmost important stories<\/em><\/strong>\u201d that are happening on the Network.<\/p>\n

Twitter\u00b4s development team also explained that they will continue to work to ensure that the information people see on \u201cMoments<\/em><\/strong>\u201d will be\u00a0<\/strong>as personalized as possible<\/em><\/strong>, in other words, as consistent as possible with their individual tastes and interests.<\/p>\n

The change on Twitter<\/h2>\n

During the next weeks, all of Twitter\u00b4s users (starting with those who live in the United States) will see the new Moments tab<\/em><\/strong> on their personal accounts identified with a blue lightning bolt<\/em><\/strong>, as shown in the following image below.<\/p>\n

So when users log on to\u00a0Twitter<\/em>, they can tap<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>on the new\u00a0Moments button<\/strong>, identified with the\u00a0blue lightning bolt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Below you can see a dropdown list of the\u00a0most important trending topics of the moment<\/em><\/strong> that will be updated with new contents as they are added to each conversation. These topics will be\u00a0classified by subject areas<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0such as Entertainment, Sports, News<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

People will also know that a conversation included in\u00a0Moments<\/em><\/strong> has been updated by a blue circle<\/strong> that will appear in the upper right corner of the associated image at a given time.<\/p>\n

This way, users will be aware of the developments in real time and won\u00b4t have to click on each topic again and again as they search for updates.<\/p>\n

What are the advantages of the new Moments tab on Twitter?<\/h2>\n

As developers have explained about this new change on Twitter<\/strong>, the\u00a0<\/strong>new Moments tab\u00b4s <\/em><\/strong>objective is to first, simplify the navigation <\/strong>of the Social Network\u00b4s micro blogging. This applies especially to new users who don\u00b4t know who to follow<\/strong> or don\u00b4t know how to find interesting topics rapidly.

  2. Another advantage of this addition is that people won\u00b4t need to follow specific accounts to display the most relevant conversations on the Network. <\/em><\/strong>
    \nIn other words, thanks to the Moments tab<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0users can be informed about the most important topics<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0without having to create an account just to see a specific conversation they would otherwise not follow.<\/em><\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Finally, thanks to the Moments tab on Twitter<\/em><\/strong>, it will be possible to\u00a0see all the relevant tweets regarding a conversation all in one place<\/em><\/strong>\u2026 just like a\u00a0Newsfeed on Facebook<\/em><\/strong>.
    \nThis way, people will avoid having to manually enter each account when they look for latest developments and simply be updated with a touch of a button,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The development team explained that those in charge of choosing which conversations are included in the Moments tab <\/em><\/strong>are the curators of Twitter and several Network contributors including\u00a0Fox News<\/em>,\u00a0Buzzfeed<\/em>,\u00a0New York Times<\/em>,\u00a0NASA<\/em>,\u00a0Vogue<\/em>, Mashable<\/em>\u00a0and other news entertainment sources. Additionally, they explained that the list is open and welcomes new contributors.<\/p>\n

    Update (October 2016): How To Use the Moments Function? <\/strong><\/h2>\n

    After several weeks of waiting, the\u00a0Moments on Twitter<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0function is now available for all accounts. According to the main s<\/strong>pecialized media<\/strong><\/a> (you can check it out on your profile!).<\/p>\n

    Therefore in this section we will show you how you can create your own Moments on Twitter, step by step.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Step 1:<\/h3>\n

    To\u00a0create your own Moment,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the first thing you need to do is go to your profile and click on the Moments Tab,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>on the top right of you account.<\/p>\n
